Choosing A Magickal Name

Posted by Mystery at 6:48 PM Labels: find magic, learn magic, learn wicca, magic ebooks, magic spells, magick, pagan, spell books, wicca book, wicca love spell, witchcraft
Choosing A Magickal Name Cover Many people have written me asking me how to come up with a Magickal name. This page is going 2 be short and sweet. So here's a little help 4 you. Well first of all... you can make up what ever name you so choose. Here’s some ideas....

* Medieval names

Look up old Medieval names on Google and you’ll find hundreds of names to choose from such as "Eadred" who was King of the West Saxons or "Cutha" who was another King of the West Saxons. The list goes on and on.

* Astrological names

One good method is to look up your Astrological Constellation. When you find a page that tells about that Constellation.... Look at the names of the Stars in it. Such as the Alpha Star which is the brightest Star of that Constellation. You can use that name or any of the other Star names. Simply find one that appeals to you. You can even change the spelling to fit you taste. For example.... The Aries Constellation.... "Hamal" is the Alpha Star or "Sharatan" is the Beta Star and of coarse "Mesarthim" is Gamma Star. Any one of these names would be great to use. This way you have a Connection with that name. You could even use the Genitive name for Aries which is "Arietis".
But you can choose any Star name... even if it is not your Constellation.

* Dragon names

Yes you can look up Dragon, Serpent or Snake names from novels or movies. Such as "Dracul" which is the Romanian name meaning Dragon or Devil. How about "Chua" which is a Native American Hopi name meaning Snake.

* American Indian names

Once again just as I already stated.... "Chua" which is a Native American Hopi name meaning Snake. There are allot Native American names to choose from.

* Mythical and Folklore names

There and hundreds of these.... I'm not gonna type them out 4 you.... just Google it!

So you see there are so many ways to find a Magickal name to use in your Occult workings.
However you choose your Magickal name.... it does not even have to mean anything as long as it has a nice ring to it. This is about you and no one else.
You can make up a word that does not exist and use it for your name. Like I said.... This is about you!

Does She Like Love You Put A Spell On Them To Find Out

Does She Like Love You Put A Spell On Them To Find Out Cover DOES HE/SHE LIKE/LOVE YOU? PUT A SPELL ON THEM TO
FIND OUT?

Can't get your mind off that certain someone? Can't decide if that certain
someone likes/loves you or not? What else is new? Why not put a spell on them to
find out? I created this spell once when I had that exact problem.

What you need:

1 vanilla scented candle (needs to have been burned for at least 10 minutes
sometime before)
Lilac scented home fragrance oil
1 piece of purple (light) colored paper
1 red pen
Matches
Tongs

What to do:

Write on the purple paper (using red pen) these exact words (fill in the
blanks):

I ___(your name)_______ love ____(his/her name)______ and if he/she loves me
back, then he/she will not be able to think of anything or anyone else besides
me until he/she lets me know how he/she feels. This flame represents my love for
him/her.

Now read enough times so that you kind of know it by heart (don't have to know
every word).

Pour just a dab of the oil on top the candle around the wick. Make sure that
when you light the candle it is on a table with nothing else on it. Light the
candle. Let it burn for a couple of minutes. During this time you should be
meditating.

Hold the paper over the smoke (don't burn the paper yet) until you feel like it
is engrossed with the flames power. Chant what it Written on the paper for about
5-10 minutes non-stop. Try to stare at the flame and empower the flame with your
love for this person.

After you are done chanting, take the paper in the tongs and burn it (you may
have to blow it out and turn the paper and re-light so that you don't burn
Yourself). While the paper is burning chant "I seal this love will fire".

Every part of the paper should have been burned so that you can't read it. Put
the pieces in an envelope and seal it shut. Put a dab of the lilac oil on the
tip where you closed it.

Extinguish the candle and rub the wax on the edge of the envelop where you
closed it (the flap that you licked and shut). Now send the letter (or give it)
to the person. They must not know it was you who sent/gave them this envelope.
If they like you they should let you know. Remember this is not a love spell,
this is a spell to find out if someone else loves you. Most of the time this
works, but on occasion it doesn't.

Constructing Spells

Constructing Spells Cover Constructing SPELLS

Spells can be as simple as reciting a short chant over a fresh rose while
placing it between 2 pink candles in order to draw love; forming & retaining an
image of the needed results in the mind; or placing a quartz crystal in a sunny
window for protection purposes.

To perform effective magick – 3 necessities must be present: The Need, the
Emotion and the Knowledge.

It has been said that magick was the first religion, and that if you lovingly
utilize the forces of nature to cause beneficial change, you also become one of
them.

It is there powers that have been personified as Goddesses and Gods. Attuning
with them is a spiritual experience and is the basic of all true religion.

COMPOSE THE RHYME OR WORDS OF POWER

Clearly state your need.

Clearly state all dimensions of your need (enduring love, rather than just love;
complete protection, rather then just physical protection, etc.)

If possible, mention some of the tools that you've decided to use in the spell
in your words of power or magickal rhyme. Indeed, for some spells, these words
may help you to structure the entire rhyme or chant.

Don't expect the words to simply flow from you. Work at it and work with them.
Your psychic mind knows what you need.

EXAMPLES:

"I ask in the name of (Goddess and God or The All) that I, (your name), be
granted (state desire)…I ask that this be correct and for the good of all
people. So mote it be. In no way will this spell reverse, or place upon me any
curse."

"In this night and in this hour,
I call upon the Ancient power.
O Goddess Bride and Consort Bright,
I ask thee now to bring your light."

"I have a need that must be met. I ask thee (name of deity) that I obtain the
perfect (whatever it is) for (reason)."

"I ask the Universe to lend the power of all the correct Astrological
correspondences so they may enter this circle now to obtain my desire."

"Therefore, I specifically draw toward myself the (desire) without affecting the
free will of all and harming none."

"I now proclaim space and time, We call now the Old Ones; the Goddess of the
moon, seas and rivers; the God of the rayed Sun, of valleys and forests; Draw
near us during this, our circle.

BREAKING A SPELL

First Saturday after Full Moon or on a Full Moon; One white and One black candle
for balance.
Props: protective nature (amethyst, apache tears or smoky quartz) – Say:

"On the Eve of (___) I cast a spell and the effect I created I must now quell.
Specifically (_____). May this spell be lifted and I now be gifted, Specifically
with (___).

SPELLS TO BIND

A binding spell is the act of grasping the negative energy that is propelling a
person or thing and stopping it. In a way, you are negating the unhealthy
energy.

The most important thing to remember when conducting a binding spell is that you
must control your own violent emotion of hatred or fear. The binding spell is
for protection only, not for harm. This is not easy. The Goddess to be employed
is Aradia, Queen of Witches. Be sure you are honest in your intentions. Aradia's
symbol is the red garter. If you desire justice, call upon Maat, she who
balances the scales. However, you must be sure that your own hands are free from
violence and hatred, lest she weighs the scales for you as well. Her symbol is
the pure white feather.

The binding itself is a very simple matter. A poppet can be sewn to represent
the malicious person. Fill it with earth (grave dirt if you can find it),
rosemary, sage, a piece of smoky quartz and a piece of amethyst. Also enclose a
piece of the person's fingernails, a lock of hair, or another personal item.
Handwriting can be enclosed if you have nothing else. Photos can be used
also. If your intention at any time during the ritual is to harm that person,
remember that you will only bring harm upon yourself – so be very, very careful.

If you can't do the ritual right away, store the doll (with the head still open)
in a white cloth. During the ritual, you will sew up the head while connecting a
psychic link. Then you will proceed to sew arms and legs of the doll together.
You will finish by wrapping the doll mummy-fashion with a black ribbon. Bury the
doll when you have completed the ritual.

A person can also be bound using mental capabilities.

Placing a sample of a person's handwriting and copper tightly in an old bell jar
is a way of stopping malicious gossip. When the danger is over, burn the
handwriting.

Cleansing Ritual

Posted by Mystery at 8:22 AM
Cleansing Ritual Cover
1. Ritual cleansing of the people involved:

Cleansing of the Body- Bath in Sea Salt to remove any impurities on ones self. Meditate using an incense that will help create the proper frame of mind, ridding oneself of all negativity.

2. Preparing the Altar:

The following items should be on the Altar: Goddess and God candles, spirit candle, earth, water, your athame, sensor, oils and sea salt to be using in the cleansing, any incense to be used during cleansing, finally some pieces of clear quartz crystal that have been charged and programmed to provide protection. Obsidian also works very well. Frankincense, Myrrh and Dragon's Blood mixture will work for the incense. We used equal parts of each. The Altar should be grounded. This can be done by first clearing out anything
under the altar, then placing a piece of hematite resting on a bed of chamomile under the Altar on the floor. This will force any negativity created out of the altar into the ground.

3. Cast a circle starting at an area just around the altar, call on the Lady and the Lord for their protection, guidance, and help to rid the house of negativity. Gradually increase your circle leaving one opening to the outside, a door works best. A person should remain outside of the circle to be symbolically chased out of the dwelling. When you are finished thank the Lady and the Lord for their help and take down the circle.

In some cases where an evil spell is present, or a negative force is at work, extra precautions must be taken. If there is anything, or a place in the house that feels cold or strange, that area should be thoroughly gone over for any remaining physical influences.

When going around the house to cleanse with sea salt, a spray bottle of sea water (or water to which sea salt has been added) will help immensely. Spray all of the mirrors, phone jacks and electrical outlets with the sea water which will leave a residue of sea salt then it dries. Don't forget the plumbing, making sure sea salt does down all of the drains and is placed around the taps. Also with the toilet)s) make sure salt is placed in both the tank and the bowl.

*** WARNING ***

Make sure that electrical power is off in the room(s) where you are spraying outlets with the sea water.

In some cases it may be necessary to rub down pieces of furniture with a myrrh oil mixture.

Make sure that all areas of the house are cleansed being especially careful of windows and doors. If an entity is expected to be present work around the house with a door being the last place cleansed to help drive it out.

The Sacred Magic Of Abramelin The Mage Book 1

Posted by Mystery at 6:44 AM
The Sacred Magic Of Abramelin The Mage Book 1 Cover

Book: The Sacred Magic Of Abramelin The Mage Book 1 by Abramelin The Mage

Volume I of The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage.

The Book of Abramelin tells the story of an Egyptian mage named Abramelin, or Abra-Melin, who taught a system of magic to Abraham of Worms, a German Jew presumed to have lived from c.1362 - c.1458. The system of magic from this book regained popularity in the 19th and 20th centuries due to the efforts of Mathers' translation, The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage, its import within the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and later within the mystical system of Thelema (created in 1904 by Aleister Crowley).

Unfortunately, Mathers used the least-reliable manuscript copy as the basis for his translation, and it contains many errors and omissions. The later English translation by Georg Dehn and Steven Guth, based on the earliest and most complete sources, is more scholarly and comprehensive. Dehn attributed authorship of The Book of Abramelin to Rabbi Yaakov Moelin (Hebrew ca. 1365–1427), a German Jewish Talmudist.

Structure of the book

The grimoire is framed as a sort of epistolary novel or autobiography in which Abraham of Worms describes his journey from Germany to Egypt and reveals Abramelin's magical and Kabbalistic secrets to his son Lamech. Internally the text dates itself to the year 1458.

The story involves Abraham of Worms passing his magical and Kabbalistic secrets on to his son, and tells how he acquired his knowledge. Abraham recounts how he found Abramelin the Mage living in the desert outside an Egyptian town, Arachi or Araki, which borders the Nile. Abramelin's home sat atop a small hill surrounded by trees. He was an Egyptian mage and taught a powerful form of Kabbalistic magic to Abraham. He was a "venerable aged man", and very courteous and kind. He discussed nothing but "the Fear of God", leading a well-regulated life, and the evils of the "acquisition of riches and goods."

Abramelin extracted a promise from Abraham that he would give up his "false dogmas" and live "in the Way and Law of the Lord." He then gave Abraham two manuscript books to copy for himself, asking for ten gold florins, which he took with the intention of distributing to seventy-two poor persons in Arachi. Upon his return fifteen days later, after having disposed of the payment money, Abramelin extracted an oath from Abraham to "serve and fear" the Lord, and to "live and die in His most Holy Law." After this, Abramelin gave Abraham the "Divine Science" and "True Magic" embedded within the two manuscripts, which he was to follow and give to only those whom he knew well.

Origin of the manuscript

The book exists in the form of six manuscripts and an early printed edition. The provenance of the text has not been definitively identified. The earliest manuscripts are two versions that date from about 1608, are written in German and are now found in Wolfenbuttel Another two manuscripts are in Dresden, and date from about 1700 and 1750 respectively.

The first printed version, also in German, dates to 1725 and was printed in Cologne by Peter Hammer. A partial copy in Hebrew is found in the Bodleian Library in Oxford, and dates from around 1740. A manuscript copy existed in French in the Bibliotheque de l'Arsenal in Paris, an institution founded in 1797. The French copy has since disappeared, but is available on microfilm.

All German copies of the text consist of four books: an autobiographical account of the travels of Abraham of Worms to Egypt, a book of assorted materials from the corpus of the practical Kabbalah (including some which is duplicated in the German-Jewish grimoire called "The Sixth and 7th Books of Moses") and the two books of magic given by Abramelin to Abraham. The well-known English translation by S.L. MacGregor Mathers from the French Manuscript in Paris contains only three of the four books. The Hebrew version in Oxford is limited to Book One, without reference to the further books.

Of all the extant sources, the German manuscripts in Wolfenbuttel and Dresden are taken by scholars to be the authoritative texts. According to respected Kabbalah scholar Gershom Scholem, the Hebrew version in Oxford was translated into Hebrew from German. An analysis of the spelling and language usage in the French manuscript indicates that it dates to the 18th century, and that it was also likely copied from a German original. Although the author quotes from the Jewish Book of Psalms, the version given is not from the Hebrew; rather, it is from the Latin Vulgate, a translation of the Bible employed by Roman Catholics at that time.

The German esoteric scholar Georg Dehn has argued that the author of The Book of Abramelin was Rabbi Yaakov Moelin (Hebrew 1365–1427), a German Jewish Talmudist and posek (authority on Jewish law). (ref Georg Dehn, The Book of Abramelin: A New Translation, transl. by Steven Guth, Ibis Publishing, 2006)

Magic word squares

The practical magic of Abramelin (found in both Book III of the French text, and Book IV of the German original) centers around a set of talismans composed of magic word squares. These are similar to traditional magic squares, though the latter are usually composed of numbers, while Abramelin's squares contain letters. Commonly word squares are used as puzzles or as teaching aids for students. In the context of Abramelin, the focus becomes mystical—so that each square should contain words or names that relate to the magical goal of the square. A parallel is found in the famous Sator Arepo Tenet Opera Rotas word square, an altered version of which is also found among Abramelin's squares.

For example, a square entitled "To walk under water for as long as you want" contains the word MAIAM, the Hebrew and Arabic word for "water". A square for recovering treasures of jewelry begins with the word TIPHARAH (a variant of Tiferet), which can mean "golden ring" in Hebrew and is also the name of the sphere of "Beauty" on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life.

Book: The Picatrix The Goal Of The Wise Planetary Talismanic Magic by Steven Ashe

The Planetary Magic of the Picatrix. Very rare teaching volume of the Fraternity of the Sanctum Regnum. A complete grimoire of Planetary Magic from The Picatrix. The elements of the practical planetary magic of The Picatrix are presented here from a new translation. The Nature and theory of the Planetary powers. The Incenses of the Planets and accompanying invocations The Invocations of the Planetary powers according to the Picatrix. The knowledge and conversation of the heavenly powers. The Planetary aphorisms of Al-Babel The planets and their astral images. This work creates a practical grimoire of planetary magic selected from all four books of the Picatrix.

Each aspect of lore is referenced according to its place within the original text. This version takes into account the colloquialisms of the Arabic original and improves upon extant translations. From the Magical curriculum of the Fraternity of the Sanctum Regnum.

Picatrix is a grimoire (grammar) of the Art of Magic & Astrological Lore written around 1200 A.D. offering talismanic and astrological guidance. The Picatrix was a primary source for 'alchemic scholars' such as Michael Scot. The book had a major influence on later West European magical thinking from Marsilio Ficino in the 1400s, Cornelius Agrippa, Thomas Campanella, Dr John Dee and Paracelsus in addition to the anonymous authors of magical grammars such as the Key of Solomon. The edition in the British Library passed through several hands: Simon Forman, Richard Napier, Elias Ashmole and William Lilly. Presented in the original Arabic, the talismanic property of this work will be of interest to specialist collectors of seminal grimoires & Golden Dawn source works. Reproduced in the original authentic Arabic.

Silver Spell

Silver Spell Cover Money and Prosperity
______________________
by Scott Cunningham

In bygone times physical objects of genuine worth were used as money;
precious gems, an ingot of pure copper, a gold bar, a silver dollar. In
today's world, money is usually artificial. Governments print pictures
and numerals on pieces of paper. We all agree that paper money is worth
specific amounts and can be traded for hard physical goods and
services. Similarly, virtually worthless metals are covered with thin
films of copper and silver, and then stamped with more numbers and
pictures. Some countries even mint aluminum coins.

If we agreed that these bits of paper represent $10 or $100, then it
must be apparent that money is a state of mind. A being alien to our
planet faced with $10,000,000 in U.S. currency wouldn't see the wealth,
but simply etchings and meaningless symbols.

This is important - wealth and prosperity are states of mind. All the
money spells in the world won't bring us more wealth until we've
learned to stop fearing money and its attendant responsibilities. So
before trying the following ritual, change your mind about money. If
you truly need money, try to WANT it as well. If you simply want money,
see how you genuinely NEED it too, how it can help improve your life
and those of your loved ones.

Accept money into Your Life even before you have it. Ready yourself to
receive it. Welcome it with open arms. Then begin.

A SILVER SPELL
____________________

This ritual takes a week to perform.

Situate a small bowl of any material in a place of prominence in your
home, somewhere you pass by every day. Each day for seven days put one
dime into the bowl.

Next, obtain a green candle. This can be any shade of green. Buy it at
a candle shop, an occult supply store, a hardware store or a
supermarket. It can be a votive, a taper or a columnar candle.

Before you begin, fix in your mind the idea that you are a prosperous
person. See money as being no problem. Imagine money coming to you as
you need it.

Place the bowl of dimes, the green candle and a holder on a flat
surface. Hold the candle in your hands and feel the power of money.
Feel the avenues that open to you when you have it. Sense the energy
within money which we as human beings have given to it. Place the
candle in the holder. Pour the seven dimes into your left hand (or
right hand if you are left-handed). You will create a circle
surrounding the candle with the dimes. Place the first dime directly
before the candle. As you place it say the following or similar words:
Money flow,
Money shine;
Money grow,
Money's mine.

Repeat this six more times until you've created a circle around the
candle with seven gleaming dimes. As you say the words and place the
dimes, know that you're not just reciting and fooling around with
pieces of metal. You're working with POWER - That Which we've given
money as well as that which is within yourself. Words too have energy,
as does the breath on which they ride.

When you've completed this, light the candle. Don't just flick a Bic
lighter; strike a match and touch its tip to the wick. As it picks up
the fire, sputters, melts and rises to a shining flame, see money
energy burning there. See the power of money flowing out from the seven
dimes up to the candle's flame and then out to the atmosphere.

Blow out the match, discard it in a heat-proof container, and settle
down before the glowing candle and money. Sense the feeling of money in
your life. Visualize (see with your mind's eye) a life with money to
spare - a life in which bills are quickly paid and money will never
again be a problem.

See yourself wisely spending money, investing it for your future needs.
See money as an unavoidable and Beautiful aspect of your life.

Kill off any thought of debt, of taxes, of doubts that you can achieve
this change. Simply see what will be.

After ten minutes or so, leave the area. Let the candle burn itself out
in the holder (don't use a wooden one). Afterward, collect the dimes,
place them back in the bowl, and "feed" it a few coins every day from
then on.

Money will come to you.
