Cord Binding Spell

Posted by Mystery at 8:44 PM Labels: ancient book, books on witchcraft, magic ebooks, magic literature, pagan books, white magic, wicca books, wicca magick, wiccan magic spells, witch website
Cord Binding Spell Cover This spell is adapted from one by DJ Conway in the 1996 Llewellyn Magickal
Almanac. It is intended to be used to prevent someone from causing you harm,
and I have also used it to batten down anger (my own and another's). In order
to work properly it requires full concentration.

Take a short length of black thread.

Tie a knot in one end, saying: 'One to seek him/her/it.' (choose whichever
pronoun is appropriate)

Tie a knot in the middle, saying: 'One to find him/her/it,'

Tie a knot in the other end, saying: 'One to bring him/her/it,'

Tie the two ends Together, saying: 'One to bind him/her/it.'

Bury the knotted thread far away from your property or drop it on a road or
waste ground far from where you live.

And that's right, the rhyme is adapted straight out of Tolkien! However, I do
NOT recommend that you finish off this spell with 'In the land of Mordor where
the Shadows lie'!

Meaning Of Magic Groups For Me

Posted by Mystery at 4:24 AM Labels: book of spells, free magic books, learn magic, love spell, magic ebook, magic spells, money magic, spell books, white magic, wicca books, wicca love, witch books, witchcraft, witchcraft magick
Meaning Of Magic Groups For Me Cover Like many of my friends, I have concerns about the intellectual stagnation of the members of these groups, particularly in the occult and pagan communities with which I have the most acquaintance. They claim not to be dogmatic but their members share many unexamined assumptions which they defend with intense hostility when they are called into question, however politely or reasonably. Systems of belief are seductive. I am frightened they will seduce me and repelled when I see others who have been seduced. Looking back on my personal history I can remember times that I fell into rigid systematization and I am ashamed. It's very satisfying to have all the answers but it chokes off the potential for independent thought. Now I am determined to embrace my own ignorance and the intrinsic ambiguity of the world, without abandoning my quest for knowledge.

Groups are hard for me because of my idiosyncracies. People become hostile because of my heretical positions on issues that are close to their hearts. In addition, I find much of the ritual work in these groups is so poorly done that it enters the realm of the patently offensive, like superhero comics or situation comedies. Finally I have personal mental blocks about group membership that derive from my intellectual distance from other children in school and the utter divergence of my interests - mostly scientific at the time - from theirs. I do not expect to fit in and in some ways group integration is a very threatening unknown. I admit that I have been known to act out when I seem to be starting to integrate, which does not always make me the most pleasant company. It takes a lot for me to admit that I like to have a group of friends. Given all this, one would think that I would avoid groups altogether, and for years of my life I have. During the current decade (the 1990's) I have been closer, though. There have even been a few months of heavy involvement here and there. Why?

In brief I know of three reasons. One is educational. I learn about spirituality through contact with others. Topics of study include ritual practice, social dynamics and the role of belief. I learn about methods I would otherwise never encounter, or only read about. I am an O.T.O. member at the moment because it gives me an opportunity to observe and take part in rituals due to its relatively liberal admission policies; if not for that I might never have a chance to study initiation, which is so important to many people.

The second is social. While I might at times deny it, there is something compelling about fraternal dynamics, something more than hanging out with one's friends, even though it is also that. I do not understand this very well yet but I only have the opportunity to study it by belonging to a group. In addition, there is a great range of variation, and I sometimes meet wonderful people who share my unusual interests. I don't know where else I would meet such people.

I suppose I would lump the sexual in with the social. Almost all my girlfriends have had some occult or pagan involvement. Given my own degree of personal involvement and the general social prejudice against Occultism there might be problems otherwise. I don't know where else I would meet suitable partners. But perhaps this assumption reflects some insecurity in myself. I'm a pretty reasonable and accomodating person and could probably come to terms with any spiritual person, occult or otherwise.

Third and last there is the experiential aspect of spirituality in groups. This differs from solitary practice in many ways. In the past I hoped for some balance to my natural reclusiveness by matching solitary practice with group practice, but I have found over time this is based on something of a false distinction, and I no longer feel motivated by the idea of equilibration. This is only a quest for external redemption. So what is different and worthwhile about ritual in groups?

A good group ritual can transform the space more powerfully than most solitary rituals. Something about the group affirmation of the change of space brings in a whole new dimension that is only rarely attained in my private rituals. The energy is thick, hanging almost palpably in the air. This is a remarkable experience and often a very rewarding one. (I feel embarassed by admitting this, as if I should defend my solitary practice, which does transform space. Perhaps I err in saying that group ritual transforms space more, rather than differently.) A bad group ritual, though, can evoke revulsion and offense, whereas a bad solitary ritual is usually only disappointing. I don't have bad trips in solitary ritual or meditation, but I can leave a poorly-done group ritual absolutely furious. In any case, the range of ritual experiences is expanded in groups and so is my understanding as a participant-observer.

Intellectual Exploration In Magic

Intellectual Exploration In Magic Cover I am motivated by a quest for knowledge, that is, by curiosity. I'm an intellectual type and I like to be able to formulate clear ideas about things. My spiritual experiences are very hard for me to understand. I don't even have a good concept of the scope of the subject. What is the spiritual? Is it a group of psychological faculties? Or an arbitrary semantic convention that conflates dissimilar phenomena? Is it a value judgment masquerading as an observational category? Or does it indicate some underlying psychological or metaphysical reality around which we revolve, whether we know it or not?

I can't answer these questions. They may not ultimately be answerable, because spirituality seems to take us outside the realm of reason. However, by doing ritual and meditation by myself and with others, and observing in a phenomenological mode - that is, accepting mental phenomena as real without regard to their accuracy or defensibility - I feel that I am getting closer to understanding parts of the continuum of spirituality. At least I am asking better questions than I used to. My curiosity about the spiritual has become a goal in its own right, whether or not this curiosity furthers my own spiritual development; the spirit has become a subject for psychology.

Largely as a result of my interest in spiritual experience, I have become interested in related subjects, such as the history of Occultism and the social dynamics of spiritual groups. I find that spiritual practice and group membership provide useful resources and observational opportunities to further these studies.

This is all very interesting, at least to me, but by itself it is only "the dogs of reason." There is more.

Black And White Magick

Posted by Mystery at 4:24 AM Labels: black magic, book of spells, free magic books, learn wicca, pagan, pagan books, pagan stores, site witch, voodoo spells, wicca books, wiccan, wiccan book, wiccan store, witch, witchcraft books
Black And White Magick Cover Witcraft magick is sometimes categorized as "white," "gray" or "black." Many of us believe magick is not black, white or gray. It is in the heart of the witch; meaning magick is magick and you send out whatever energies and intent that you choose. Negative energy attracts negative energy and the same goes with positive. That is for any soul, witch or not.

One of the most important reasons untrained/uninformed people should use EXTREME caution when performing a spell is due to interference. Reminds you of football, right? Well, it is actually the same concept. One must take the time to realize every single situation or person that may cause interference to your intent. Such an event can cause negative or even tragic results. Here is an example to clarify this. Say you do a spell to attract money into your life. Unless you specify in detail HOW you wish to obtain money, you may send out energies into the universe that may result in you receiving money due to an inheritance or insurance policy. Get it? Maybe your house will burn down or you wind up in a car accident. Also, regarding money spells, never ask for more than what you really need. Never be greedy. Don't do a spell to win the $20 million lottery. Besides, you are highly unlikely to be successful. Be realistic and fair. Always give something back to the universe when asking for something. Plant a tree, make a charitable donation or even simply be kinder to others in the world. We should all do things like that whether asking for anything.

What Is Metal Magick

Posted by Mystery at 4:24 AM Labels: black magic, cool magic, find magic, free magic books, love spell, magic, money spells, occultism, pagan, ritual, wicca books, wicca magick, wiccan book, witch website, witchcraft magick
What Is Metal Magick Cover Metal magick is based on the innate power of metals and on the symbolism derived from astrology. Metals also have healing properties, especially in their homeopathic form. As you will see the metals are connected with a planet, one or more astrological signs, and most of them are associated with a day of the week. It is best to work for instance Sun-gold-related magick on Sunday, or start it on a Sunday when it has to be performed on successive days. For magick all metals can be replaced by silver or gold.

Italian Passion Spell Cover ITALIAN PASSION SPELL

Use this spell to affect someone who desires you, yet is shy in expressing their
feelings. Start by melting some red Candle wax and molding it in the shape of a
phallus if you are female, or a womb if you are male. Once the wax has dried,
sensuously anoint the candle with olive oil, as if you were attending your
lover, thinking hard on the intimacy you desire as you do so. Light the candle.
Now, write your lovers name three Times on a piece of White paper, and burn it
in the flaming wick, praying that your lover will come to you. While the paper
burns, recite your lovers name out loud three times, then blow out the candle.
Try to wait patiently for your lover to respond to your magic.

The Magic Pyramid

Posted by Mystery at 4:24 AM Labels: book of shadows, books on witchcraft, learn magic, magic library, magic literature, magic spells, money spells, occultism, site witch, wicca and witchcraft, wicca books, wicca love, witch website, witchcraft
The Magic Pyramid Cover Of the Magician's Pyramid, the tip of the pyramid is the work performed and the power used, and the four corners of the base, the four sources of that power. They are, equally and in no order, Imagination, Will, Faith, and Secrecy.

Imagination (Air): You must be able not only to devise potent ways to achieve your aims, but also to visualise or feel the energies you are working with and the results of your efforts. You can only do what you can think of, but you can do anything you can think of. Allow yourself to daydream and develop your imagination. Make use of your wildest ideas, dreams and fantasies. As long as they remain under your control, the wilder, richer and more fantastic the better, but be careful not to lose touch with reality. There are many who have gone before you and have gone insane, and it might be best for you not to follow them if your mind is not strong enough. If you can sit for an hour with your mind blank, not thinking a single thought for that time, then your mind is strong enough, and if not, then you must practice.

Will (Fire): You must be focused and determined. Nothing must distract you or waive you from your aims, and so you must develop your will. You must be able to assert yourself, to dispense with any opposition and traverse any obstacle. In your mind, there must be nothing that can stop you. If you do not have the will, you do not have the way. Now, be warned that failure is devastating to the will, and sometimes it is better not to try at all than to try and fail, and have not the will to try again. To fail to prepare is to prepare to fail, and you cannot afford to fail. Therefore, prepare. If you can hold your gaze on the centre of a candle flame for an hour, without looking away and maintaining your awareness the whole time, then your will is strong enough, and if not, then you must practice.

Faith (Earth): You must believe in yourself utterly and, if you call upon any talismans, amulets or deities in your work, you must believe in them utterly also. The slightest doubt, however deeply buried in the back of your mind, can still thwart your aims. He who does not believe in himself is his own greatest adversary. In the words of Paracelsus, "Through Faith the Imagination is invigorated and completed, for it really happens that every doubt mars its perfection..." Indeed, every doubt you hold will dent your will, and whether the dent be slight or great, you cannot afford the detriment to your will. It is for this reason that you must be able to depend completely upon the validity of your own words. Every time you tell a lie, break a promise, make a prediction that does not come true, or simply say something which is proved wrong, whether the fault is yours or not, it will dent your faith. For this reason you must say nothing that you cannot be totally certain is the truth, not of the past, the present, nor of the future.

Secrecy (Water): Knowledge is power, and to give knowledge, and therefore power, to someone who may then use it against you themselves, or pass it on to someone else who might, is folly. You should not reveal to anyone any more about yourself than you wish them to know. Guard also your knowledge of other things. Study and learn all that you can, and share it only if you are given something in exchange. The total power you have over those around you is the total of that which is relevant and which you know, and they do not. Never give in to vanity, and never feel that you have to prove yourself to anyone. Keep your tongue still and your ears sharp. Remember that those around you may, and probably will, be keeping many secrets themselves, as well as trying to learn yours, so always read between the lines, and never take anything that anyone says at face value.

If you are strong in Imagination, in Will, in Faith, and in Secrecy, then you are strong in magick. What you lack in any of these, you lack in magick. Not only must you be strong in each of these, but you must be strong in each of these equally, for any imbalance in these will unbalance your magick. You must keep your Imagination, Will, Faith, and Secrecy in balance. He who allows his imagination to reign becomes insane, he who allows his will to reign becomes megalomanic, he who allows his faith to reign becomes stagnant, and he who allows his secrecy to reign becomes paranoid. Whereas he who allows his imagination to suffer becomes brain-dead, he who allows his will to suffer becomes indifferent, he who allows his faith to suffer becomes inhibited, and he who allows his secrecy to suffer becomes ignorant. He who develops each of these in balance becomes powerful, he who neglects any one of these becomes nothing.

Basic Spell Construction

Basic Spell Construction Cover BASIC SPELL CONSTRUCTION

Because of the very nature of Magick, each working should be highly
individualized and personal. Even if following a traditional spell, it should be
tailored to your specific needs to be most effective for you. Understanding the
basics of Spell Construction will enable you to formulate your own specific,
effective spells for any purpose you desire.

Preliminary planning is necessary. The very first step is to decide precisely
what your desired end result is to be. Before you can start, you must decide
where you are going. You must be very explicit.
It is important, also, that you choose your time carefully. You should take into
consideration all Astrological implications, energy currents and Moon phases.

The Moon is the astronomical body closest to us and, therefore, has a profound
influence upon us, it is very important to choose a time when the Moon is in an
astrological sign which is appropriate for your working. For example:
Aries/Action - Enthusiasm, Taurus/ Renewal - Sensuality, Gemini/Communication -
Curiosity, Cancer/ Emotion - Nurturing, Leo/Vitality - Determined,
Virgo/Organizing - Studious, Libra/Balance - Cooperation, Scorpio/Sexual -
Philosophical, Capricorn/Authority - Ambitious, Aquarius/Innovation - Social,
Pisces/Sensitivity - Idealistic.

Bear in mind that magickal workings for gain, increase or bringing things to
you, should be initiated when the Moon is Waxing (from Dark to Full); when the
Moon is Waning (from Full to Dark), it is time for magickal workings of decrease
or sending away.
The highest energy occurs at the Full Moon and, therefore, this is the most
powerful time for magickal workings. The New Moon is the next Most Powerful time
for Magick.

Whenever possible, follow Nature's natural Energy Currents. There is a natural
time for starting things (a planting time), for maturing things (a growing
time), for reaping things ( a harvest time) and, of course, a time for rest and
planning.

Flowing with these currents will make your magickal work much easier. Remember
to plan your project for a time of uninterrupted privacy. It is important that
you have no distractions. Generally speaking, it is best to work as late at
night as possible. A time when there is less frantic energy is most appropriate.
You might consider Midnight or later.

In choosing a place to do your magickal working pay particular attention to your
needs, for you must be comfortable. Your place should be private, quiet and
secure. If at all possible, set aside a special place for this purpose only. An
unused room, a special corner of your bedroom, a quiet, secluded spot in your
garden. A place that is yours. A place that you can come to whenever need arises
and that is as free from intrusion of others as possible.

Prior to the night of your magickal working, gather together the things that you
will need. All of the things used are tools. They have no inherent magick. They
are to help you create a mood. If correctly made and used, they will trigger
primitive responses from deep within you. They should be chosen with care.
Consider the purpose of your ritual and choose your tools accordingly. If your
magick is to be sexual, your candles, oils, incenses and so forth, should bring
forth a sexual response. If the desired result of your Magick is Tranquillity,
then the tools should make you feel calm, peaceful and serene. Any candles you
might use should not have commercially added fragrances as these may not be
appropriate for your working.

Prior to your ritual, prepare yourself and your equipment by any means necessary
to clean and purify. Historically, people have fasted, followed meticulous and
detailed bathing practices, practiced chastity and used many other methods.

Most often a Ritual Bath is the preferred method. A bath frequently utilizing
candlelight, fragrant herbs, bath salts or sensuous oils. A sumptuous hot bath,
special bathing preparations and appropriate lighting, combined, can create the
soothing effect which will help in the very important step of relaxing and
clearing the mind completely of all mundane thoughts and experiences of the day.
Your ritual Bath should, also, begin to set the specific vibrations conducive to
your purpose into motion. You must not only cleanse and purify but must, also,
begin to create the type of energy necessary. Once your purification process has
been accomplished, you are now ready to begin. Proceed to the special place you
have previously chosen in which to perform your magick. If at all possible, you
should make use of the primitive responses set into motion by a well-chosen
piece of music. Your music should start slowly and build to a rousing climax.

As you use your oils, light your candle or incense (or utilize any other tool
you have chosen), you should begin to further intensify the energy that you have
set into motion around you. A high degree of intensity is vitally important.

The Altered State of Consciousness that you must reach is not a meditative
state. Anything that interferes with your ability to concentrate upon, reach
and control the high energy state necessary to perform magick should be avoided.
Such as, screaming children, a sink full of dirty dishes, use of alcohol or
drugs, etc.

Do not scatter your energy by attempting to do more than one magickal working at
a time.

Remember that Magick is the manipulation of energy, a thought is a form of
energy and a Visualization is an even stronger form of energy. Your
visualization can be a method used to intensify further and direct your will.
Your visualization can be the method by which you control the magickal energy
you have produced. You must know what you want. You must see it. You must feel
the high-energy flow. You must direct it.

One of the most important elements in the practice of any form of Magick is the
Universal Law of Cause and Effect. This means that whatever you do (or don't do)
you cause something to happen.

The most important consideration is the Universal Law of Retribution. This means
that no matter what you do, it comes back to you in like kind.

It is the nature of things that as you send something out it gains momentum, so
that, by the time it comes back to you, it is three times stronger. If you do
something nice for someone, someone will do something nicer for you.

"As you weave and
spin your spell,
Three fold return
the tale will tell."

Difference Between Religion And Magick

Posted by Mystery at 4:24 AM Labels: black magic, book of shadows, casting spells, find magic, free magic books, learn magic, magic, site witch, spell books, voodoo spells, wicca books, wicca love spell, wicca magick, witch, witch website
Difference Between Religion And Magick Cover The differentiating factor between religion and magick seems to be whether or not there was a specialist assigned the role as intercessor to the Gods or Elemental Energies. This is also one of the key issues in present day witchcraft - whether or not each person is a direct link to the energy and can meet their needs without assistance, or if we need those persons who have the time, talents, interest, etc. in being a full-time conduit between these energies and those who consider themselves as Pagans, Witches, Wiccans, etc.

While the jury is still out, the majority of Witches think it would be a travesty if we allowed any third party interpretation or mandatory access to that natural energy we are all heir to as humans and part of the interactive Sacred Play that is Gaia, our world and our spiritual world. Many early religions that began as a one-on-one link with the divine later came to a formal, procedurally bound, mockery of our Divine nature. The power in paganism is that we claim our power by right, and will never give or dilute it by channeling it through others. We are as much a mirror of the Gods, as they are a reflection of us.

The nature of deity is that we have created a personalized representation of those forces which are awe-inspiring and important to us, and given them characteristics and names so that we may refer to them amongst ourselves handily. Those outside this rich interactive style came to believe that these forces were indeed outside of us, and labeled them as transcendent, or other. As Luke was taught by Obi Wan and Yoda, there is a life-force which all beings naturally have. We are part of it, have need of it, and can learn to listen and use it. Only recently did we forget as a race, that it is our birthright and the nature of our being. Life, death, rebirth, creation, beauty - these are all a natural use of the energy so readily available.

Contemporary Magick

Posted by Mystery at 2:16 PM Labels: ancient book, black magic, book of shadows, magic, magic library, magick, money spells, paganism, site witch, voodoo spells, wicca and witchcraft, wicca books, wiccan, wiccan magic, witch, witchcraft books
Contemporary Magick Cover 1. magick today is a far cry from that of times past - although it may be that its most crucial element - belief - is still the crux of any working. However, the magick which we discuss as part of the Wiccan, pagan training is believed to be a natural part of almost anyone's abilities. With training and some sensitivity to the feel of the energies, almost anyone can work and use magick in their ritual, ceremonial, and daily life. In addition, we understand so much more about our lives and environment than those early witches did. It is particularly powerful to weave your magical and religious symbols into your professional and personal environment. Thus, you are always aware of your goals and values as you go about your daily endeavors.
2. In a last note, I will discuss the word Witch. Today we use this to indicate anyone who uses such power within a context of responsibility to their community and the world as a whole. I have defined the role of a witch as, “One who knowledgeably takes on the obligation to further harmony and growth for our world, our selves and our community.” I believe this obligation will be fulfilled by all power at that Witch's command, including personal talents, skills, strength and psychic power. It is important that all these personal endeavors be in concert, so as to maximize the effect of the working. In the past definitions for the word Witch were much less complimentary. Any rudimentary research into witchcraft from conventional publications will quickly discover that even in the 1970s and 80s, a witch was always considered an evil-doer. Even books which seem unbiased, include these biases - as well as a bias against women. Anyone who worked energy for evil was considered a witch, and was obviously a female. Anyone who worked energy for good or personal reasons was considered a sorcerer and in almost all the books I read, a male. The exception was healers - who could be male or female, but were classified as white witches.

Book: The Magical Library Of Harry Price by Anonymous

An Exhibition of Books, Archives and Artefacts from the Collection of a Psychic Investigator and Ghost Hunter.

This exhibition celebrates the treasures in the Harry Price Library of Magical Literature, one of the largest, most well-known and diverse collections in the University of London Library. Recently, major cataloguing and retrospective conversion of the printed books, archives and artefacts has been carried out on the Library, thanks to generous funding from the Vice-Chancellor’s Development Fund. Work on this project is well advanced, and this exhibition is mounted to mark the milestone of the completion of cataloguing printed material and to reveal treasures in the Library, many on view for the first time, to new audiences.

The collection of Harry Price (1881-1948), the publicist of psychical research, developed from a childhood collection of conjuring books into a collection of materials for the cultural history of attitudes to the occult that is unique in the United Kingdom. Although its holdings are strong from the early modern period onwards, they are indispensable for the history of psychical research and spiritualism in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In 1937, it contained 4,376 books, 5,343 pamphlets and 725 volumes of periodicals, with extensive holdings comprising ephemera, press cuttings, manuscripts, film, photographs and slides recording the investigative activities of Harry Price and his associates. The printed collection has since been enlarged from a modest endowment and many gifts to approximately 14,000 volumes, and is growing steadily each year. To give an indication of the date range covered by the collection, an estimated 225 books and pamphlets were published between 1600 and 1699 and a further 325 between 1700 and 1799.

A New Type Of Money Magic

A New Type Of Money Magic Cover A young graduate opens a card from Aunt Betty; it contains a crisp green bill, along with congratulations and sincere wishes for success. Grandparents buy their new-born grandchild a Savings Bond, a gesture which will be stored away for decades before being "released" into that child's life. A loyal customer respects the hard work of a local business owner, and goes out of the way to buy THERE, instead of some other business owned by strangers. Money truly is magic.

Most money spells commonly involve a person's wish to RECEIVE money. But what about the opposite? Can you attach and focus magical energy within the money you SPEND, so that it can aid and bless others?

Let's suppose that money is not a tangible object; it is energy. magic often involves gathering, focusing and releasing energy to achieve a specific purpose. Is that any different than earning, saving, and then spending money? When you spend, you transmit a bit of energy in a certain direction. You decide where it goes, whether to Place A or to Place B, to Purpose A or to Purpose B. You create change -- and that can be magic!

Perhaps we instinctively are aware of the energy within the money we give to others. For example, it is common for local businesses to hang up the first few dollar bills they earn as "good luck" charms. Some bills even have personal handwritten notes penned with good wishes by the merchant's friends and supporters. But early forms of money weren't dollar bills. Early forms of money were metal coins. Today we have a special word for coins; we call them "change." Change? Like the way we change the world? What an interesting word for money! And the mathematical symbol for change? The Delta, a triangle, the same symbol we use today for the element Fire. Energy. Change. It is no accident that our language shows this relationship. Word histories often show how two things were once related.

While money ITSELF is nothing sacred, be aware of the energy you send when you spend. As you write out your monthly bills, use the energy within it to bless others. See the hard work you do for your wages as a way to raise energy to create positive change for yourself and those you support.

Even the "monthly ritual" of paying your bills can be magical. Your phone bill can be a way to bless the loved ones you call each month. Your mortgage or rent can be a house blessing. How else can you direct energy through money? Your taxes? Your charitable donations? Your savings or special nest egg? Look for your own personal ways to do this. You are limited only by your imagination.

Rather than spells to GET money, try using money magic as a blessing for others -- you may be quite surprised by what you receive in return!

Magick Mirrors

Magick Mirrors Cover The black scrying mirror, or magick mirror, is a powerful psychic tool. It can bring the user hidden knowledge and clairvoyant ability and can act as a portal to other planes of existence. History shows its use in many of the traditional mystery schools and oracular temples. Today the serious student of magickal arts can rediscover the ancient rites of the magick mirror, for these techniques are again coming to light.

Scrying can be defined as the mantic art of gazing into or upon a crystal or dark mirror, allowing the physical eyes to relax, thus letting the inner psychic eyes begin to open and receive desired visions or information. The use of the black mirror is one of the best methods of achieving the state of mind required for entering trance and for scrying work. It not only acts as a focal point for visualization but can become a doorway into the astral plane. It allows communication with higher realms and the subconscious and access to Akashic records. The traditional crystal ball is also a wonderful tool, but it is more difficult to scry with and is extremely expensive. The mirror is a more efficient way to begin to learn to scry and journey in other realms.

Magic Spell For Weight Loss

Posted by Mystery at 4:24 AM Labels: casting spells, love spell, magic books download, magic ebook, money magic, money spells, spell books, wicca, wicca books, wicca love, wiccan book, wiccan books, witch books, witchcraft, witchcraft magick
Magic Spell For Weight Loss Cover Whatever you might have ever thought about you not wanting to be happy and healthy in every way, dancing with life, know it isn't true.
It just seems that way sometimes.
This is a very powerful evocation of one of the greatest powers in the universe.
It WILL HELP YOU to find the strength within you need to stand up and cast off all that heaviness and sadness, anger and loneliness, shame and misery.
And it gets easier once you get the ball rolling, you know that's true.
Light a white candle in a totally dark room and speak the following invocation (you need to learn this by heart before you start but you can do that, right).

Weight Loss Spell - Venus Evocation

Venus,
Goddess of Beauty,
Goddess of women,
Goddess of love,
I evoke your power
to aid me,
to make me strong,
to fill me with your power
to help me in my purpose
to be the best
that I can be.

Venus,
Goddess of Beauty,
Goddess of women,
Godess of love,
I evoke your power
to heal me,
to cleanse me,
to charge me
with life
and love of life.

Venus,
Goddess of Beauty
Goddess of Women,
Goddess of Love,
I call you
into my life
to stand beside me
to protect me
to guide me
towards beauty,
and love.

SFX 2006

Look into the candle flame and see yourself in the future, of the right age, BEING HAPPY and ALIVE (which is MUCH more important than "being thin"!).
When you are ready, blow out the candle.
Here comes the real magic.
Anytime before you eat (and where you can), light a candle to Venus before you start.
A lot of people eat a lot of stuff and they don't get fat - it's a mystery, really.
Let the power of Venus transform your whole eating experience.
When you're done, leave a small morsel as a token offering and blow out the candle.
When you are in a place where you cannot light a candle, imagine one so strongly in your mind that you can nearly see it right there on the table in front of you and act just the same, quietly inside.
Should you feel it wearing off after a week or so, do the ORIGINAL full on evocation with the prayer above again to strengthen it even more.

This is very powerful, it really does work and YOU deserve to be happy, and alive ABSOLUTELY.

Blessed be,

StarFields

A Further Note: Weightloss is also about changing the way you eat and what you eat, AND what attitude you have when you're eating.
That's the practical side of weightloss, and this is a place where this spell and the Goddess Venus can come to the rescue.
For example, if you are getting those feelings inside that tell you that you need to eat to relieve them, what really helps is to say:

Venus, Goddess of Beauty,
Goddess of Love,
Goddess of Women, Goddess of Power, STAND BY ME!
Help me, change me,
make me right, make me bright!
Transform me in your image
This is my will.

... or words to that effect, so that the *energy* of the Goddess Venus can flow through you and really, truly, CHANGE you, help you change what needs to be changed so you can be healthy, flowing, beautiful in the truest sense of the word.
Do this all the time, like a mantra, it makes A LOT of difference, you'll see!

* A further update:
I have had *a lot* of feedback from people saying they LOVE this and how much it has helped them, especially in dark nights when you are all alone and feel you need to comfort eat, but also when you are out and about and get the sense that others are judging you.
One young lady from the US told me that it had really helped her with GUILT over having eaten at all! This can only be for the best, that's for sure.
This invocation and the idea to call on Venus particularly for help with weightloss/being more beautiful and more healthy was delivered to me in the old fashioned shamanic "flash of an insight" in response to the original request. I don't know if this works for men, I suspect it is very specific for women of all ages, for the essence of Venus is - WOMAN. I'll see if I can find something similar for men, and I guarantee it won't be Mars, either ...

How To Make A Magic Staff

Posted by Mystery at 12:04 PM Labels: free magic books, magick spells, occultism, pagan, pagan stores, site witch, voodoo spells, wicca, wicca books, wicca love, wicca love spell, wiccan book, wiccan magic spells
How To Make A Magic Staff Cover Making a staff can be very rewarding and can be used to mark either progression or initiation along a pagan/wiccan path

Things You'll Need

* Knife or a similar carving utensils
* Long stick (Bamboo would be best)
* Magical decorations
* Adhesive material for attaching decorations

Steps

1. Get a stick. Make sure it is long. It does not have to be straight, but it should be at the minimum as tall as you, or taller.Do not choose just any stick. Have a good look around. Pick up more than one. Balance it in your hand. Feel its energy. You will know which one is for you when it feels right.

2. Give it a special name. It is your magical staff and it belongs to you , its name can be its magical bond with you or just any old.But don't ask me because its your choice.

3. Get a carving knife or a similar item to shape the staff if you decide it needs shaping. You may just wish to simply strip the bark off it or to keep the knotty wooden look. The style is totally up to you.

4. Decorate it. Any decoration is up to you. You can have many decorations or no decorations. The choice is yours and yours only.

5. When you are done making your staff it is wise to let it gain power for three days under a full moon. Let its energy grow. Let it bond with you. Remember, a Staff is an extension of you and your life. Make sure that it is well taken care of, or it will unwind its magical bond with you and your magic staff will be magic no more.

Tips

* Magical decorations can include:
o Feathers
o Glitter
o Nail polish marks (the glowing/luminescent sorts are great for this)
o Sequins or craft jewels
o Tie string on the top and attach lucky beads or something special to you
o If you feel called to do so, go ahead and use a strong glue to glue a hawk feather or crystal to the top. Remember, this is your staff so it should reflect who you are. Add what you wish to add.
* A good Choice Of Wood Is something such as Apple, or Cherry you can try hardwoods for a more ornate look

Warnings

* Make sure you don't hit anyone when waving your staff about!
* Do NOT rip a stick off a live tree. This is cruelty to nature and it is wrong. This tree is divine and a living creature. Imagine if someone came and ripped off your arm to use as a sword!
* Be careful when you are carving, a stick can be replaced but an arm can't.

How To Make Your Own Magical Doll

Posted by Mystery at 6:19 PM Labels: black magic, book of shadows, learn wicca, magic spells, money spells, pagan, site witch, wicca and witchcraft, wicca books, wicca magick, wiccan magic spells, witch, witch spells, witchcraft magick
How To Make Your Own Magical Doll Cover A poppet can be as simple or as elaborate as you like -- it all depends on how much time and effort you want to put into it. You can construct one out of just about any material -- cloth, clay, wood, wax. Use your imagination! In some magical traditions, it's believed that the more work you put into it, and the more complex it is, the stronger your link will be to your goal. Because a poppet is a device for sympathetic magic, all of its components will be symbols of what it is you hope to achieve. You can do your poppet-making as part of the working itself, or it can be made ahead of time so you can use the poppet later on. Which method you choose is really up to you.

Remember, your poppet represents a person, so figure out before you begin who it symbolizes. Is it you? A friend who's asked you for help? An un-named lover you want to bring into your life? A gossip you want to shut up? The possibilities are endless, but just like in any spell working, you'll need to set a goal before you begin. It keeps you from having to deal with "do-overs" later. These instructions are for a basic poppet construction, using fabric. Feel free to modify your design as you need to.

There are no real rules when it comes to choosing your material, but it's not a bad idea to select fabric based on your goal. If you're doing a money spell, use a piece of green or gold cloth. If you're looking at healing, perhaps something in a soft blue or silver would be best. Check out fabric stores around the holidays, and you can find all kinds of neat patterns. Valentine's Day designs are perfect for matters of the heart, and there are plenty of prints with dollar signs, coins, stars and moons, and other fun designs.

Another option is to use fabric that links the poppet to the person it represents. Doing a healing spell for a friend? Ask the person for an old t-shirt. If you're trying to draw love into your life, consider using a scrap from that sexy lingerie you wore last night. If you just can't find the right material, use a plain muslin or white felt. Here are a few ideas for designs and colors for poppet magic.

* Animals: Brown or green fabrics, patterns with cats or dogs, anything pet-related
* Banishing: Black fabric, designs such as swords or wands, dragons or fire
* Creativity: Orange or yellow fabric, prints of suns or other fire symbols
* Healing: Silver, white or blue, with designs of clouds or other air symbols
* Love: Pink or red material, designs like hearts, roses or other flowers, Cupids
* Money: Silver, gold or green fabric, or designs of dollar bills or coins, cups or earthy symbols
* Protection: Red or white material, with patterns of shields, keys or locks, fences, mistletoe

When it comes to types of fabric, use what's easiest for you to work with. Cotton prints are easy to sew, but if you've never used a needle and thread before, you might want to try something stiffer like felt -- it comes in every color you can imagine, and will hold its shape as you sew. If you're an experienced sewer, use anything you like.

A poppet represents a person, so ideally it should look (sort of) like a person. Give it a head, two arms, two legs, a torso. You can make your own outline or you can use the ultimate poppet pattern -- a gingerbread man. If you're doing a spell for an animal -- such as a healing spell for a sick pet -- make the poppet shape accordingly. Your poppet doesn't have to be huge, but it should be big enough that you can stuff it with your ingredients later.

Print out the design in Figure 1 and enlarge it on your printer, and use it as a pattern if you need to.

Take two pieces of your fabric, and place them right side together on a flat surface. Place the pattern on top, pin it in place, and cut it out. Leave a little room around the edges for a seam allowance -- usually a 3/8" margin is good. Remove the pattern, and there are your two poppet shapes. Time to start sewing!

If you've never sewn anything by hand before, don't panic. It's not hard, but it does require some patience. You could always use a sewing machine if you're pressed for time, but most experienced poppet-makers agree that it's worth the effort to do it by hand. Pin the two pieces of material together and stitch around the edges. Leave an opening somewhere, wide enough to stick a couple of fingers in. Turn the poppet inside out, and begin stuffing.

Fill your poppet with something soft, like polyfill or cotton balls. Old pantyhose work nicely too. Work the stuffing all the way into the nooks and crannies of the arms and legs, and the fill the torso and head. This is where you'll place your spell components -- herbs, stones, whatever. In some magical traditions, something from the person represented goes inside the poppet. This is alternately referred to as a taglock or a magical link -- it can be bits of hair, nail clippings, body fluids, a business card, or even a photograph. Once everything is inside, sew the poppet completely shut.

The more you can customize your poppet, the better. Even if you've placed a magical link, or taglock, inside, you'll want to decorate the outside too. Draw or paint or sew a face onto your doll. Add yard or string for hair. Dress your poppet in something that looks like the person's clothing. Copy any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing features onto the poppet as well. Add magical or astrological symbols if you like. While you're doing this, tell the poppet who it represents. You can say something along the lines of, "I have made you, and you are Jane Jones."

Your poppet can be used for any number of things -- love, money, protection, healing, to get a job. Anything you can imagine, you can make a poppet to bring it about. Simply figure out your goal and the means to achieve it. The only limits on poppet construction are your own creativity and imagination.

How Does Magic Work

How Does Magic Work Cover Question: How Does magic Work?

You keep talking about magic and spells. I don't get it, and I'm pretty smart. How do they actually work?
Answer:

That's a really good question, and one that may have a number of different answers, depending on which people you ask. First, there are many different types of magic -- natural magic, practical magic, high magic, Ceremonial Magic -- and each is a little bit varied from the others. Even when it comes to spell work, you'll find a number of opinions on the Hows and Whys of the process.

In natural magic, there is a theory that many natural objects -- rocks, roots, plants, animal bones, etc. -- have a connection within them to some part of the human experience. For example, a rose quartz is linked with love and matters of the heart, a piece of oak would take on the attributes of strength and sturdiness, and a sprig of sage is connected to wisdom and purification. In this form of magic, also called sympathetic magic, the link between items and their magical symbolism is referred to as the Doctrine of Signatures. Spellwork in natural magic is often carried out with no prayer or invocation to deities or gods. It is simply the natural attributes of the items involved in the spell that make the magic happen.

In some traditions of wicca and Paganism, magic is the realm of the Divine. A practitioner may call upon his or her gods for intervention and assistance. For example, someone doing a spell working to repair their damaged love life might call upon Aphrodite for aid. A person moving into a new home could invoke Brighid or Freyja, goddesses of hearth and home, as part of a ritual.

There is also a school of thought that believes magic occurs only in accordance with one's will -- in other words, intent is everything. Some people in these traditions believe that the physical trappings of spell work -- candles, herbs, etc. -- are unimportant, because all that really matters is the strength of will to bring about results. If one focuses one's intent precisely enough, and manipulates the necessary energy, change will come about.

Regardless of how you believe magic actually works and whatever tradition you choose to embrace, understand that magic is a skill set that can be used in tandem with the mundane. While magic will not solve all of your problems (and probably shouldn’t be turned to as some sort of cure-all) it is certainly a useful tool when used sensibly.

Book: Uc African Magic Traditional Ideas That Heal A Continent by Heidi Holland

This book, like no other, provides an excellent Understanding of how magic is a part of peoples everyday lives, in everyday language without the anthropological speak. In it, you will see magic from the eyes of an african. Africa's traditional beliefs, including ancestor worship, divination and witchcraft, continue to dominate its spirituality. Readers in search of a better understanding of the continent will be enriched by this book's timely Exploration of sub-Saharan Africa's natural philosophy.

I cannot recommend this book more. I am surprised this book is not more readily available.

Quarterly Prosperity Spell Cover Quarterly prosperity spell
Written By Erin Angel and Gracie Webber

This spell comes from my first famtrad teachers and should be done on the
cross quarter days (Samhain, Imbolc, Beltane and Lammas). It should be
performed at one minute past midnight, sun time (so daylight savings time is
a real bear - 1 AM Groan!)

You will need

1 gold candle
6 green candles
9 white candles

Place the gold candle in the center of your altar.
Surround it by the green candles.
Surround those by the white candles.

Enclose all candles in a salt circle.

At one minute past midnight, light the gold candle, then the green ones,
moving deosil, then the white ones, still moving deosil. When all are lit,
circle the altar three times chanting

Orbiting Jupiter trine the sun
Bring money on the run.

Meditate a while on the Things you really NEED - not want. Don't get
greedy!

When you have finished, snuff (DO NOT BLOW) the candles out in reverse
order. When done, say

Thank you
Thank you
thank you.

Now, I KNOW this sounds really silly, but it does work. I've never known it
to fail Bringing me in SOMETHING. Not everything I wanted by any means, but
I'll get things like $30 on a lotto scratch ticket or find a $20 on the
ground, etc.

Charms Spells And Formulas

Charms Spells And Formulas Cover

Book: Charms Spells And Formulas by Ray Malbrough

How would you like to increase the power of your magick? Now you can, with the help of real Louisiana Hoodoo. In Charms, Spells & Formulas, you'll find rituals and recipes for incenses, oils, powders and washes that you can use to make changes in your life. But that's just the beginning. You'll learn the secrets of how to make gris-gris bag charms for any purpose. You also get full Instructions on how to set up your altar and perform the ritual to charge the bag so that it becomes a powerful magical tool. Need to improve your health or love life? Make a gris-gris bag!
You'll also learn how to make magical dolls from cloth and clay, and how to increase the power of magical candles by adding herbs to them.
Do you think you might have been given the "evil eye?" You'll learn how to overcome it with the Instructions given here. The book also includes full instructions on how to use prayers and Bible psalms to solve your problems.

Charms, Spells & Formulas is an excellent Introductory book for those who follow paths other than Wicca. In fact, I think that it is better suited for those who are interested in voodoo or some variant thereof. The one thing that I did not like about this book is that I wanted it to be longer! There is a wide variety of information and I feel that Ray Malbrough did an excellent job touching base on so many different topics. It contains associations on colors, herbs, candles, and more. It goes into a little detail about voodoo practices and the blending in of Catholicism. I highly suggest that readers who enjoyed this book check out Malbrough's "The Magical Power of the Saints," which goes into greater detail on the Saints than what was briefly touched upon in this book, along with explaining novenas and the 7 day candles. As a non-Wiccan Witch that practices the style of magic as presented in these books, I feel that both are excellent and are ones that I continually refer to.

"Charms Spells and Formulas" contains recipes that really helped me in my life. At the time, I was recently divorced and was in need of a part-time job to make ends meet. I had been applying for jobs all over town, for months, to no avail. I made the money drawing oil as listed in the book. Within the week, I got a new job. Some of the ingredients were hard to find but I own other books that suggest substitutions. I also tried the Sweet Bottle spell, and my love life is thriving!

Hoodoo is a tradition that is 200 years old. Within these pages you'll find the secrets of genuine Hoodoo and be able to put them to use! You can use Hoodoo to help get rid of illness and bring prosperity, find romance and get rid of bad luck. If you are doing any sort of magick at all, you'll find that the techniques in this book will powerfully enhance your magick. And if you're new to magick, you'll be surprised at just how successful the magick in this book can be. Are you ready to really make a change in your life? With the help of this book and some common herbs, you can do it. Get this book today!
