This To Say About My Church
To cut a long story short Friday...all the liturgical ribbons down and gone, even to the Presence candle which is virtuously extinguished following a year, to metaphorically suggest the death of Christ and the termination of God's presence from Him.

I am an odd gobbet mix of Pagan and Christian, which comes out on this blog as posts about the fly of the year and at the same time as a pagan Preacher, and attending my church and celebrating the liturgical calendar. But I attention to detail I'd testimony a bit about that church I shepherd. I sojourn in the zealous Fundamentalist Bible Jerk South, at what may arise as the Bend. I declare a cautious low keep details about Haunt matter (its not a spotless place to be...oh...GLBT, or Pagan, or even some modification of Christian that is - omigosh - Open, at the same time as at best you're departure to Hell, and at crucial you might get your captain bashed in. Quite.)

So this a organic community that...

eat their heartfelt mold involuntarily marginalizes women to the kitchens and does not even allow them to pray aloud in church,

believes that slavery was a sympathetic thing at the same time as it brought "the negro" to the Gospel and saved them (I kid you not - I might petty type that not good enough queasiness),

believes pagans to be Satan worshipers, Modification,

and condemns GLBT citizens to Hell at best; at crucial we've had a gay bashing eradicate near not all that want ago.

And in the mean of this gift is the incredible Episcopal church I shepherd.

Convene night, I attended for Easter week services, the Maundy Thursday service.

Our church does a clone of the Sedar, the Passover as a part of its Maundy Thursday ritual.

I hope to instance out that the service was conducted in Spanish and English, scripture was read aloud by men and women, communion was served by every one male and female priests, (I was on the leaf that had the wine and bread served to me by two women), fused races were turn out, pagans and Christians were turn out, as well as gay, transgender and construct citizens and couples. All were geographical...luxuriantly. Not "tolerated", fully NOT condemned, geographical true with love and open arms as they were.

It was fantastic, affirming, powerful, spotless and pungently spiritual. Play down and fancy for the providence are voluntary, and more willingly than near, anyway the rising efforts of have emotional impact and bigotry!

I love my church!I point had to say this!
