I understand it has been quite a long time since I have last been on this page actively, probably so much so that no one remembers me. But none the less, I have changed my study from White Magic to Old Ways Magic as a way to connect more so with the Earth element, my more prominent element in my psyche. I live in a city with a larger than average Pagan population, but the amount of Old Ways Witches is very small (so much so that I have yet to meet another). Not to mention the school itself teaches mostly (if not solely) about plants and how to use the spirit of plants to connect to the Earth more fully. I was wondering if there are any other mages that share the same school of thought and are wanting to share their experiences in this path. The path has grown very close to me because of its need to be expressed by living things. Using the spirits of plants to help attune yourself to earth and allowing the Shadow (Aether, magic, it goes by many names) to express itself though you for your wish. By its nature it is more so survival magic, which lends its hand to mountain men, Cowboys, the impoverished, and others who do not need to live in urban areas for survival. More of the stronger magic I have learned to use is though herbal teas, actually growing plants from seeds for a living base for spells (I own a bonsai tree who's ability to create magic barriers have kept me from psychic attack on more than a few occasions), and creating natural geodes yourself for your needs. It's honestly one of the more expensive practices that I know if you wish to practice from your home rather than outside. Seeing how I do live in a city, if I wish to lose myself in nature, I have to travel at least 15 miles, so the need to cultivate plants are more needed than others I presume.See More
